María Iragorri
Creative Strategist
Maria, former lawyer now turned Creative Strategist, is currently living in London finishing her MA in Innovation, Sustainability and Design at Central Saint Martins.
Maria needed London to realise how much of her family's upbringing in Colombia defined how our relationship with nature is her passion in life. For her MA's dissertation, she is focusing on finding a way of disrupting the skin-care industry's current trend of constantly selling a detached, romanticised illusion of nature, instead of nurturing a relationship with the plants we consume in out skin-care products. She wants to bridge the gap between the so-called "organic" and "sustainable" labels, by inviting people and skin-care businesses to encourage customers to become experts about the ingredients they use, empowering them to grown the plants they use in their daily skin-care routine.
As well as loving to spend her times either underneath trees or with her feet in the water, you can always count on Maria to share a wild dance with you. Music makes her limbs beat and turns her a bit crazier than she already is. She thanks her grandmother for raising her to love all things green, and her late mother for showing her there is no greater thing than love.
